BoxonTech, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions for the automotive industry, is expanding its operations to Spain. The new facility in Vitoria, near Bilbao, strengthens BoxonTech’s European footprint and brings production, warehousing, sales, and local support closer to customers in southern Europe and North Africa.
The expansion is a direct result of customer demand.
“Our growth is customer-driven – we follow our clients as they expand globally,” says Anders Yllfors, Managing Director at BoxonTech. “Spain is a natural next step for us, strategically located in one of Europe’s strongest automotive clusters.”
The new Spanish operation includes a full-scale production unit, warehouse, office, and local sales organization, headed by Henrik Molander, Site Manager. The team will serve both existing and new customers in Spain, Portugal, Northern Africa, and France.
Operations began in September 2025, and the site is now fully operational, providing increased capacity and even greater flexibility to customers across the region.
A Sustainable System for a Smarter Supply Chain
BoxonTech’s FrameTray system offers a closed material loop where trays are 100% recycled close to the customers and reused into production. This innovative system combines efficiency, cost reduction, and environmental responsibility, helping the automotive industry reach its sustainability goals.
