Following its successful establishment in Spain, BoxonTech continues its global expansion with a new operation in the United States. The expansion includes local production and warehousing in Tennessee, combined with a sales and customer support office in Detroit, positioning BoxonTech at the heart of the North American automotive industry.
The move marks an important step in BoxonTech’s mission to serve customers wherever they operate and to deliver sustainable, efficient packaging solutions through local presence.
“The U.S. is a key market for the automotive industry – and a natural next step for BoxonTech,” says Niklas Rönnäng, Managing Director at BoxonTech. “By establishing production and sales locally, we can provide faster response times, reduce transport distances, and support our customers’ sustainability goals.”
The U.S. operation, led by Mark Miskerik, General Manager, will serve customers across North America and Mexico, offering complete solutions including manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and technical support. Operations began in October 2025, and the site is now fully operational.
Strategic Partnership and Local Production
The U.S. expansion is built on a strategic partnership with a local production partner in the Tennessee region, ensuring efficient manufacturing, regional reach, and scalability. The Detroit office strengthens customer collaboration and engagement within the American automotive hub.
“Our goal is to combine global expertise with local agility,” says Mark, General Manager, BoxonTech USA. “Being close to our customers in North America allows us to deliver the same high standards of quality, sustainability, and service that BoxonTech is known for worldwide.”
A Sustainable Model for Global Growth
BoxonTech’s international expansion is driven by its closed-loop FrameTray system, which ensures that all packaging trays are 100% recycled close to end customer and reintroduced into production. The company’s circular business model reduces costs, improves efficiency, and minimizes environmental impact.
“Each new site – in Spain, and now in the U.S. – increases our ability to support customers locally while maintaining full control over quality and sustainability,” adds Niklas Rönnäng.
